What is a speech therapist?
Speech therapists are trained and licensed professionals who help kids communicate, read, eat, socialize, and play!
We can diagnose communication disorders, identify if a child is delayed in their development, and have special training to provide one-on-one therapy and parent coaching.
What can a speech therapist help with?
Our speech therapists help kids develop communication skills - like saying different sounds or words correctly, understanding what someone is saying, or using words and gestures to communicate. We also work on social skills and play skills!
Who do you work with?
We work with children as young as 12 months up to 13 years. Early intervention means starting young so that we can help your child get on track with their communication skills and reach those developmental milestones.

About Our Speech and OT Team
Bluegrass Kids Therapy Center was opened to meet the need for accessible, quality, and fun speech therapy services for children in Western Kentucky. Our team of speech therapists has experience meeting a variety of speech and language needs and believes having fun is the best way to build confidence and promote learning. We prioritize educating parents in the session, spending time answering questions, and making sure you feel comfortable practicing at home. Our speech therapy team also collaborates with other important people in your child’s life, such as doctors, teachers, other therapists, and caregivers like grandparents.

Are You Ready to Start with Bluegrass Kids Therapy Center?
Our experienced team provides speech therapy and occupational therapy to children ages 12 months to 13 years in our Madisonville, KY clinic.
Step One
Contact your child's pediatrician or primary care provider for a referral for speech therapy services. Referrals can be faxed to our office (270-452-2758). We will contact you once we receive the referral.
Step Two
We begin with an evaluation to identify your child’s needs and skills. After the evaluation, if therapy is recommended, we will develop a therapy plan and schedule your first speech therapy session.
Step Three
Begin speech therapy at Bluegrass Kids Therapy Center! Your child will love our engaging, play-based speech therapy sessions. We track your child’s progress and offer tips on how to practice their new skills at home.
