Bluegrass Kids Therapy Center is an in-network provider with:

  • Aetna (Medicaid)

  • Alliance Coal

  • Anthem/BlueCross BlueShield (Commercial and Medicaid)

  • Cigna

  • KY Medicaid

  • Passport

  • United HealthCare

  • WellCare

We also accept private pay clients. For rates, please contact our office at 270-452-2835.

Referrals

We require a speech therapy referral from a Pediatrician or Primary Care Provider.

Doctors:

Please fax referrals to us at 270-452-2758 and include the following:

  • Child’s name

  • Child's date of birth

  • ICD-10 code for any medical diagnoses

    • If no medical diagnosis, please include suspected ICD-10 therapy codes for SLP

  • “Eval & Treat” statement, specifying the appropriate discipline

  • Signature of provider

  • NPI number of provider

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is play-based therapy?

    Studies show that following a child’s lead during play has significant benefits compared to adult-led sessions. We encourage kids to choose the activity, game, or type of play, and we work with your child to address their goals while they play! Warning: they might not want to leave!

  • Is my child too young for therapy?

    No way! Studies show that early intervention is key for addressing speech and language concerns. We see children from 0-13 years old.

  • How often do we come to therapy?

    We typically recommend speech therapy services 1-2 times weekly for 30-40 minutes per session depending on the child.

  • Can you work with my child if they get speech therapy services at school?

    Yes! You can absolutely “double-dip” private speech therapy and school speech therapy. We do not recommend “double-dipping” therapy with another clinic due to insurance restrictions.

  • Do you offer feeding therapy services?

    Not at this time. We hope to in the future!

  • What is your attendance and cancellation policy?

    If your child is sick or unable to attend, please call or text our office ASAP at 270-452-2835. BKTC has a strict No-Call No-Show Policy and charges a fee for each No-Call No-Show.

  • Do we need a referral for services?

    Yes! Please contact your child’s pediatrician or primary care provider to request that a speech therapy referral be faxed to our office. Fax #: 270-452-2758.

  • How will I be billed for services?

    We bill insurance or accept private pay. If billing insurance, our Billing Team will confirm insurance benefits and notify you of any out-of-pocket costs based on your insurance policy. We require cash, check, or card payments at the time of service.
